Coeur d’Alene Downtown Association (CDADTA) is pushing out one of their founding vendors, Kootenai County Farmers’ Markets Association (KCFMA), from their Wednesday evening farmer’s market held annually each summer.

CDADTA has already billed their new farmer’s market, 5th Street Farmers Market, as “an inclusive place for local business owners and growers to sell directly to their consumers.”

This new move is causing some outrage among locals as it seems like CDADTA is engaging in anti-competitive tactics. CDADTA also manages street parking enforcement among other things for the Business Improvement District along Sherman Ave for the City of Coeur d’Alene.

Both CDADTA and KCFM are non-profits incorporated in the State of Idaho.

Kootenai County Farmer’s Market is currently finalizing details for a new location.
