Lakeland School District has voted to put a levy to the test a second time on May 16. This comes after Lakeland residents voted against a new levy on March 14th. Read more about it Between the Lede.
- The levies are $9.5 Million for 2 years and another $1.146 Million also for 2 years (was 6 years in the March vote).
- Trustee Ramona Grissom voted against a second go-around, saying that this would upset the community; Trustee David Quimby also admitted that it would upset the community, but voted to rerun the levy anyway.
- The Coeur d’Alene school board will meet Monday to discuss its next steps after the levy failed.
