According to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department, a death occurred this afternoon on I-90. Idaho State Police were chasing a stolen vehicle when the incident occurred.
While the stolen vehicle was traveling west on I-90, the driver veered off onto the property of Knudtsen Chevrolet near Greensferry in Post Falls. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died as a result of the crash. Another occupant was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
While I-90 remains open, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office expected traffic delays for several hours following the crash due to an ongoing investigation.
