Last night, the Kootenai Planning and Zoning Commission voted to rezone approximately 25,000 acres of land within the tribal reservation boundaries from rural zoning to agricultural. Many residents in the tribal lands are upset, and considering this rezone tantamount to eminent domain.

The Kootenai County Planning and Zoning Commission gave the green light Thursday to the biggest proposed rezone in county history.
