Last night, the Coeur d’Alene City Council issued a proclamation drafted by North Idaho Pride Alliance, the local non-profit outfit that organizes the annual Pride in the Park event at CDA City Park.
The proclamation itself is worded as a tome decrying employment and housing discrimination based on “sexual orientation, and gender identity/expression.”
“Whereas, the City of Coeur d’Alene has enacted legislation prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity/expression; and
“Whereas, discriminatory housing, employment and public accommodation practices are detrimental because they impede the social and economic progress of a city by preventing all of the city’s citizens from contributing to the cultural, spiritual, social, and commercial life of the community; and
“Whereas, the contributions of all the citizens of the city of Coeur d’Alene are essential to the city’s growth, vitality, and prosperity…”
And so on.
I am unsure what the purpose of these divisive political plays are for. How do potential employers know if someone is living this lifestyle? How do landlords or mortgage lenders know this without that person offering up that information willingly?
Also, can someone definitively make that case in a court of law? I don’t think so… but I also don’t think that’s the point.
The point seems to be that North Idaho Pride Alliance wants to make their mark on the political landscape here in conservative North Idaho where these kinds of evil lifestyles are not practiced, nor approved by our wider culture (Romans 1:32).
I wholeheartedly disapprove of local politics engaging in identity politics. It degrades what city governments are setup to do, and divides the community against one another for the sake of a disproportionately small group of sexual deviants.
Rather than rehash what I said in last week’s article, the gist is as follows.
Their entire culture is built around sexual fetishes and degenerate behavior. It’s not just “gays” and “lesbians”. It’s not a fixed thing at all. Around 2010, the conversation was about gay people getting married. In 2023, that same demographic (if you will call it that) now supports giving hormone treatments to children, and medical procedures to remove sexual organs in the name of “gender-affirming care”. As this trend is moving in full force at a national scale, this pogrom will stop at nothing less than disenfranchising and marginalizing anyone that doesn’t agree with their warped ideas about human sexuality.
This is the true face of the sexual degeneracy revolution, and the CDA City Council has no idea the kind of people they have “allied” with.
