Yesterday, was the official day for candidates to file to run in the upcoming November 2023 election. Seats up for election include:
- City Council & Mayor
- Fire District Commissioners
- School District Trustees
In times past, local elections were considered mostly bland affairs. However, this year’s election will likely be heated as controversial issues like COVID-19, social-emotional learning curriculum, and housing issues will dominate campaign speeches.
