Bonner Commissioner Bradshaw Shouts Expletives at County Prosecutor

The Kootenai County community can count its blessings that it is well-served by elected officials who recently worked diligently together to come to a consensus on a county budget for Fiscal Year 2024.

Bonner County residents may be looking to the south with envy at the civility and respect with which Kootenai County officials conduct their affairs.

One of Bonner County’s officials, Commissioner Steven Bradshaw has been issued a restraining order for the protection of another Bonner County official — Commissioner Asia Williams.

Bradshaw is the current Chair of the Bonner County Board of Commissioners and the lead pastor at Cocolalla Cowboy Church, according to the church website’s leadership page as of August 31st.

After being served with a temporary restraining order, Bradshaw left an expletive laced message for Bonner County Prosecutor Louis Marshall.

The temporary restraining order served on Bradshaw, has already been replaced by a more permanent order.  The complaint by Commissioner Williams, supported by county employees, the Bonner Sheriff Darryl Wheeler, and Asia’s husband, claims Bradshaw made verbal threats to shoot Williams.  This allegation was deemed credible by the courts, resulting in a one year restraining order.

Bradshaw must now conduct his duties as a County Commissioner via remote technologies, as he is barred from county property.

Regardless of whether you voted for our current slate of County Commissioners in Kootenai, we can all agree that Commissioners Bill Brooks, Lesli Duncan, and Bruce Mattare are serving our community and each other with common decency and a shared common endeavor for good governance.
