Early Voting Begins For the November Election

Kootenai County voters may now cast their ballots at the elections office in Coeur d’Alene until November 3

Starting Monday, October 23, 2023, the Elections Department office is open for registered voters who wish to cast their ballots before election day. Early voting ends at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023.

The Elections Department office is located at 1808 N 3rd Street, Coeur d’Alene, and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Voters are welcome to bring voting guides with them into the ballot booth.

There are 34 distinct ballot faces this election cycle, and which ballot you receive is based on your residence. Some Kootenai County voters will have only one item on their ballot, which is a bond election.

Other Kootenai voters will have races in which they can select their choice(s) for school board, city council, mayor, or fire commissioner. Unopposed candidates will not appear on any ballot. Those who reside within the City of Dalton Gardens will be able to vote for two city council positions, one fire commissioner, and the bond election.

The majority of voters still cast their ballot on election day, which is Tuesday, November 7, 2023, and voters will need to go to their precinct polling location to cast their ballot. Voters can look up their polling location via the Idaho Secretary of State website.
