Seeking Community Judges for Speech and Debate Tournament

Community Announcement from a Local Club of NCFCA

Public speaking. Something most people dread. Yet there are some that pursue it, even enjoy it. NCFCA is a national speech and debate league that our family has been a part of for twelve years. All six of our kids have taken part in this league and have presented speeches before 600 Republicans at the Lincoln Day Dinner, expressed their opinion in front of the Coeur d’Alene City Council to protect Wolf Lodge Bay, and defended their faith in interviews with USRowing.

Salt and Light, our local club that meets once a week in Spokane Valley, is hosting a local tournament March 18-21 at Ross Point Camp and Conference Center in Post Falls, Idaho. One way this tournament is able to happen is with community judges. Will you please consider being one of these judges? We need 700 judge slots filled. I promise that you will be challenged and encouraged by students age 12-18 as they sharpen their speaking, rhetoric, and logic skills. Go to NCFCA.org, click Judge a Tournament, and then scroll down Post Falls, ID National Mixer.  It will be wonderful to have you as a community judge!
