COUER d’ALENE, Idaho — Sheriff Bob Norris will host a Town Hall meeting at the Kootenai County Administration Building, December 17 at 6:00 p.m. regarding the use of technology, securing data, and keeping our community safe. The event will examine 16-year-old existing technology and technology where the biggest threats to your civil liberties can be found.

The town hall will set the record straight on false and misleading information that is being disseminated. False information like:

  • Red Light Cameras and their existence in Kootenai County.
  • Live Streaming Capability with existing or future technology.
  • The ability for government to sell your information.
  • Facial Recognition Capabilities in Kootenai County.

Join Sheriff Norris as he discusses the state of technology in use to keep our community safe while guarding against abuse of your civil liberties.
