Press Release from Kootenai County Republican Central Committee
The Kootenai County Republican Central Committee (KCRCC) is sponsoring a speech contest and offering cash prizes. Applicants provide a three-minute video performing their speech to the contest committee, then the finalists deliver their speech at the annual Lincoln Day dinner. A $1,200 cash prize will be awarded for first-place, $950 for second-place, and $700 for third-place.
With President Trump taking office, people are looking forward to a time where America will be great again. America’s future depends on the youth of today—their vision, dreams, thoughts, and priorities. Therefore, the speech contest asks the question: What is your vision for the future?
The speech contest is open to 9-12 grade public, private, and home schooled students residing in Kootenai County. The three finalists will give their speech during the dinner where the audience will vote and determine the first, second, and third place winners. Finalists must be able to attend the Lincoln Day dinner where two complimentary tickets will be provided.
The Lincoln Day dinner will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Coeur D’Alene Resort and Sean Spicer, President Trump’s former White House press secretary, will be the keynote speaker. It will be an exciting event that brings Republicans from across the county together for an evening of celebration and camaraderie.
Speech contest application deadline is January 24, 2025. For more information and to apply https://forms.gle/LGU4X7RkRe84w6pM7
