Call For Artists: Contest With $1,000 Prize

Press Release from Idaho State Historic Preservation Office

The Idaho State Historic Preservation Office is holding an art contest for a $1,000 prize and the chance to be featured on our annual Archaeology & Historic Preservation Month poster. Artworks must be submitted by February 28, 2025 to be considered.

This year’s poster theme is the Rainbow Bridge over the North Fork of the Payette River on Highway 55. The bridge is an open spandrel arch bridge designed by Charles Kyle and constructed in 1933. It is the largest bridge of its type in the state and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It is currently at risk, as the crossing is to be redesigned, leaving the fate of the bridge in question.
