The Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred just before 9:59 a.m. on March 14, 2025, in Bonner County, Idaho. The crash occurred on US95 near mile post 487, just north of Samuels. A 48-year-old male, and sole occupant, from Athol, Idaho, was driving a black 2005 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on US95, when he drove left of center. The vehicle struck a southbound blue 2024 Freightliner semi-truck driven by a 31-year-old male, from Calgary, Canada, head-on. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
US95 was blocked for approximately 3.5 hours. The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police. Next of kin has been notified.
