SAVE THE DATE: Community Partnership BBQ on June 21

Press Release from Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office

Community BBQ Partnership

Join us on June 21, 2025 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Silver Lake Mall for a fun and educational event to celebrate the partnership between our First Responders from Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement.

Come and learn about how and why we operate the way that we do. We are proud of the strong local connections between our First Responders and the Citizens we serve.

On hand at the event will be your local First Responders displaying equipment, educating citizens on how and why we use the equipment, and giving you a chance to see, touch, and feel some of the cool things we use, to include K9 demos and scenarios.

Additionally, our recruiting team will be on site to answer any questions about career opportunities with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.

We’re excited to announce a bustling vendor fair, featuring local artisans, businesses, and organizations offering a range of products and services. Don’t miss out on this day of fun, education, and community spirit!

Our Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office Volunteer Search and Rescue Unit will be serving a free community BBQ. Sheriff Norris will be on hand to meet citizens, talk about his vision for the future of public safety in Kootenai County, and discuss ways the agency can better serve you.
