Idaho House Fails to Override Library Bill Veto by One Vote

The Idaho House failed to override Governor Brad Little’s veto of H.B. 314 today, according to Idaho representative Tony Wisniewski.

The three page bill would have prohibited schools and public libraries from making any of the following available to minors:

“Any picture, photograph, drawing, sculpture, motion picture film, or similar visual representation or image of a person or portion of the human body that depicts nudity, sexual conduct, or sado-masochistic abuse and that is harmful to minors.”

The failed override comes after governor Little vetoed the bill yesterday, saying that the legislation was overly broad.
