RATHDRUM, IDAHO – The Idaho GOP released an official statement on the evening of March 2, 2024, announcing Trump’s caucus win. “President Donald J. Trump has won all 32 of Idaho’s delegates to the Republican National Convention. Idaho has reaffirmed its steadfast support for President Trump today,” stated Idaho GOP Chair Dorothy Moon in the official release.

The release went on to say, “Trump’s agenda is what strengthened our nation before, and it will once more. To secure our southern border, grow our flailing economy, and shield our nation from the radical leftist agenda, it is imperative that we rally together as a united party.”

In a campaign rally in North Carolina on the same day, Trump reaffirmed his position on the border crisis, “Seal the border and stop the invasion of our county.” As with all of Trump’s rallies, the venue was packed and his speech was met with much enthusiasm from the crowd of roughly 10,000 attendees.

The Idaho Presidential Caucus was held in 210 locations simultaneously throughout the state and was an in-person, secret ballot process that had only one round of voting, making it a “firehouse” caucus.

The 220 Republican voters at the KTEC caucus location in Rathdrum, Idaho, appeared to enjoy the process of the caucus over primary voting. Several voters spoke with the Kootenai Journal, expressing their pleasure in meeting and conversing with neighbors and fellow Republicans, and taking part in what they called “a historical moment” in American politics. There were many smiling faces, a few children, a first-time voter, and a general air of positivity amongst the caucus participants, many of whom stayed to observe the counting of the ballots. Of the 220 votes at the KTEC venue, 197 went to Trump, twenty for Nikki Haley, and three for Ron DeSantis.

The Idaho Democratic Presidential Caucus will be held on May 23, 2024.

This election cycle’s Super Tuesday, when fifteen states will hold presidential primaries, is on March 5, 2024, and Trump is projected to sweep them all.
