UPDATE: July 25, 2024 – The Idaho State Police is receiving numerous calls from concerned citizens regarding the closure of State Highway 3. For clarification purposes, US Highway 12 is NOT closed, it remains open at this time. The only closure in place at the current time is SH3, starting at US Highway 12, north to the County line, just south of Juliaetta, Idaho. Please adhere to this closure and listen to the law enforcement personnel that are at the road closure areas. Thank you.
EARLIER: July 25, 2024 – The Idaho State Police, the Idaho Transportation Department, and the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office are working together to shut down SH3 from US12 north to the Latah County and Nez Perce County line, near milepost 7, just south of Juliaetta, Idaho, due to a fire. Please avoid the area to allow first responders to work on stopping an active fire in the area. Thank you for your assistance.
