Trump Remains Undaunted by Assassination Attempt, Holds Massive Rally in Minnesota Two Weeks Later

Campaign rallies continue to bring tens of thousands of Americans together and draw high viewer ratings across all platforms and networks.

Even before the July 13 assassination attempt of Donald J. Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, the former president held an impressive slate of rallies across the country that were drawing massive crowds never before seen in American politics, many reaching over 60,000 in attendance.

Now, the rallies are not only continuing with more frequency, but they regularly showcase everyday Americans from all walks of life who share their personal stories in riveting fashion to highlight the importance of Trump’s policy initiatives and leadership. Much like the Republican National Convention (RNC) did throughout the four days of celebration in mid-July only days after a bullet pierced Trump’s right ear.

Trump made his first public appearance after 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks sent bullets ripping into the stands at the rally in Butler at the RNC on Monday, July 15. He continued to attend each day until Thursday evening when he finally took the stage at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The first address Trump gave after his life was spared was both poignant and powerful with a  reverent acknowledgement that he was only alive due to the provision of Almighty God. He praised the crowd of rally-goers who maintained their composure and did not stampede during the hectic moments in Butler. He honored Corey Comperatore, the 50-year-old husband and father who died shielding his family from Crooks’ bullets. An all-American guy, Comperatore’s obituary shared that he was a dedicated family man, faithful Christian, and earnest community volunteer.

By July 20, only one week after the tragedy in Butler, Trump was in Grand Rapids, Michigan, holding his first post-assassination rally where he stated, “I took a bullet for Democracy.”

Four days later, Trump drew a massive crowd at a rally in Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina. In typical fashion, he took the stage to Lee Greenwood’s “I’m Proud to be an American” and it sure looks like the Americans in attendance are not only proud of their country, but of Trump as well.

On July 26, Trump spoke at Turning Point USA Faith Believer’s Summit in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The next day, Trump was in both Tennessee and Minnesota. First, he spoke at Bitcom 2024 Conference in Nashville, then he appeared at a huge campaign rally at Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud. The hockey rink was at full capacity with rally-goers waiting hours for a chance to enter the venue with thousands of people lining the streets between the airport and the venue. Trump sounded as good as ever with tons of energy and engagement with the crowd.

“This is the greatest movement in the history of our country,” exclaimed Trump as he excoriated the corporate media for never showing the size of the crowds at his rallies.

Trump will close out the month with a rally in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on July 31.

Although all the rallies since July 13 in Butler have been held at indoor venues, Trump vowed to both continue his signature outdoor rallies and return to Butler with posts on Truth Social.

“I WILL CONTINUE TO DO OUTDOOR RALLIES, AND SECRET SERVICE HAS AGREED TO SUBSTANTIALLY STEP UP THEIR OPERATION,” Trump wrote on July 26. “THEY ARE VERY CAPABLE OF DOING SO. NO ONE CAN EVER BE ALLOWED TO STOP OR IMPEDE FREE SPEECH OR GATHERING!!!”

“I WILL BE GOING BACK TO BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA, FOR A BIG AND BEAUTIFUL RALLY, HONORING THE SOUL OF OUR BELOVED FIREFIGHTING HERO, COREY, AND THOSE BRAVE PATRIOTS INJURED TWO WEEKS AGO,” Trump wrote on July 27. “WHAT A DAY IT WILL BE — FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT! STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS.”

The statements came after reports that the Secret Service was pressuring the campaign to stop all outdoor rallies. There was no mention whether or not they made the same request of President Joe Biden or presumptive Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.

By all accounts, Trump is stronger than ever and there will be many opportunities for Americans to attend his campaign rallies between now and November 5.
