Letter to the Editor by Dwight Van Horn of Kootenai County
Dear editor,
I wanted to thank you for your recent article on Senator Risch. It was not an eyeopener for me, but I certainly hope it opened other people’s eyes and minds. Just because a politician remembers your name at a meet ‘n greet or a grip ‘n grin doesn’t mean he’s doing what we want while he’s in D.C. Makes you wonder if while they are using their right hand to shake yours, the fingers of their left hands are crossed behind their backs and just smiling away. Good job!
I’d also like to thank you for the outstanding memorial article on Bob Smith. He was a GREAT guy and as your article stated, a rock solid, unwavering supporter of the NRA, the Second Amendment, personal defense, and the shooting sports. He cast a long shadow over those issues and more. I will miss him.
Dwight Van Horn,
NRA Board of Director
