MERIDIAN, Idaho — The Idaho State Police (ISP) has released the 2024 Idaho Missing Persons Clearinghouse Annual Report. This report offers a comprehensive overview of the individuals reported missing in Idaho and entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) from January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024.
The report aims to identify general characteristics and trends related to missing persons in Idaho. While it does not include case-specific investigative details or techniques, it provides a valuable, data-driven snapshot to help the public and law enforcement better understand the scope and scale of this critical issue.
2024 Key Statistics:
- NCIC Records Entered: 2,022
- Records Purged from NCIC: 2,030
- Modify/Supplemental Records: 2,714
- Active Missing Person Records (as of 12/31/2024): 185
- Total NCIC Transactions for 2024: 6,951
