Counterfeit Bills Used in Facebook Transaction Results in Two Arrests

KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — On November 9, 2025, Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in the City of Hayden for a report of a recently committed fraud.

Deputies learned that the victim had just sold a washer and dryer listed for sale on Facebook to two individuals who paid with counterfeit $100 bills. Deputies were able to identify the suspects and responded to their residence in Bayview, Idaho.

At the residence, the suspects eventually exited the residence and were detained. Deputies applied for and were granted a search warrant by a Kootenai County judge. During the search of the residence, deputies located the stolen washer and dryer, a large amount of counterfeit U.S. currency, materials used to produce fraudulent bills, methamphetamine, and an illegally possessed firearm.

Arrested:

  • Kendra M. Bradley, 39, of Bayview, Idaho — charged with possession of fictitious bills, criminal conspiracy, petit theft, and possession of stolen property.
  • Ronnie J. Ament, 52, of Athol, Idaho — charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine, criminal conspiracy, petit theft, possession of stolen property, and possession of paraphernalia.

The investigation remains ongoing.
