The Kootenai Journal newspaper launched with regular monthly prints on November 28, 2023, building into a weekly print publication as the company grows and additional writers come on board. At this time, the monthly publication releases every four weeks on a Tuesday.
The mission of the Kootenai Journal is to report the news truthfully without personal commentary, so that our North Idaho community is well informed, educated, and inspired.
Our focus is on local news and events, however state and regional news that impacts Kootenai County will also be covered. Our publication will include regular opinion columnists, guest opinions, investigative reports, crime blotters, letters to the editor, lifestyle articles, local sports, civic articles, obituaries, classifieds, and advertisements.
