COEUR D’ALENE, IDAHO – In a recent media release, Kootenai County Commissioner Leslie Duncan humbly announced her 2024 re-election campaign, in which she is vying for a third term of office. Duncan says she is “building upon her successful track record in local government.”
Duncan has consistently promoted the platform of limited government, along with property rights, and had this to say on her efforts.
“If re-elected as County Commissioner, I’ll continue to help keep local government in its proper role protecting life, liberty, and property. It’s in everyone’s best interest and the citizens of Kootenai County know it.”
Duncan added that her efforts to improve the County’s justice infrastructure have been successful.
“I believe our citizens expect justice to be served properly and fully in Kootenai County. That means enforcement of the law, a strong public defense, and an equally strong prosecution of violators. This requires adequate court facilities. All are vital to the fair administration of justice,” stated Duncan.
Duncan shared that her vision is to continue working for the best benefit of her constituency.
“Building and preserving the strong sense of community here in Kootenai County requires paying attention and putting in the effort. It’s what we love about living here and our way of life isn’t by accident. If re-elected, I will never stop contending for our common interests that improve our high quality of life,” asserted Duncan.
The release said her campaign kickoff event is set for Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., and encourages the community to check out her campaign website for details and to come meet and speak with her.
The Idaho election calendar shows the primary election will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
