Lawlessness at NIC

Idaho law says that the president is hired by the board and serves at its pleasure. It was the pleasure of this board to put Nick Swayne on administrative leave. A good man would have respected the law and the board for whom he works. But Nick rebelled against the law and the decision of the board: he sued them. The judge to whom the case was brought also ignored the law, and ruled that the board had to reinstate him. Now we have a sitting president who respects neither the board nor the law. Ignoring the law is essentially the same as having no laws; it is lawlessness.

Nick Swayne continues to treat the board with disrespect, acting like a victim every time he does not like what they say, or do, or attempt to do. Tarie and Brad are right in his corner, supporting his little fits. Brad, Tarie, and Nick were quick to threaten loss of accreditation at the hiring of a man who specializes in accreditation issues. That is because they don’t want the issue to go away. Maintaining the specter of lost accreditation is their leverage of power, and clearly, the only dysfunction of the board/president relationship is the constant rebellion of those three against the conservative board majority.

Some of the SAVE NIC people; the human rights people; the ones who fly the banner of LOVE LIVES HERE; i.e., the supporters of Brad, Tarie, and Nick, may actually be good people, deceived into thinking they are doing the right thing, but most of them are the meanest, nastiest people I have ever encountered. The most loving thing I can say to them, and to Brad, Tarie, and Nick, is this: repent of your sin, and trust Christ as your Savior, or a time will come when He will judge your actions and motives, and it will not go well for you.

“Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.” I John 3:4

“Even so you too outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.” Matthew 23:28

“The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness,” Matthew 13:41

“And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.” Matthew 7:23

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.” Romans 1:18
