The Kootenai County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will hold a public hearing on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., to discuss three capital projects: The Justice Center Expansion, Jail Pod Completion, and Sheriff’s Office Expansion to Hayden. The hearing provides an opportunity for citizens to learn more about the proposed project cost, where the money will come from, ask questions, and provide feedback.

The short notice of this public hearing is in an effort to avoid costs from delaying the Justice Center Project. However, the BOCC felt it was prudent to seek public feedback before proceeding with phase two of the Justice Center expansion as costs continue to rise. The BOCC appreciates the public’s consideration to this urgent matter.

The hearing is open to the public. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.
